Terms of Service

“Studyssey”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Studyssey and its operators.

“Platform” means the website at studyssey.com, including all subdomains, APIs, and associated mobile or web applications.

“User”, “you”, or “student” means any individual who registers for or uses the Platform.

“Application Service” means the end-to-end university application management service described in Section 2.

“Admission” means receipt of a conditional or unconditional offer letter from any university in the student's confirmed shortlist.

Studyssey provides an automated university application service for Germany and France, for students from Pakistan. The service includes:

• Student profile collection and academic assessment
• Document upload, AI-assisted verification, and checklist management
• University matching and shortlist generation based on the student's academic profile
• AI-generated motivation documents tailored to each university and programme: Letters of Motivation (Motivationsschreiben) for German universities and Motivation Letters for French universities via the Études en France (EeF) portal
• Automated application submission via the uni-assist portal and direct portals (Germany) and the EeF portal (France)
• VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation) processing for eligible Pakistani students applying to German universities through uni-assist
• Real-time application status tracking and WhatsApp/email notifications

Studyssey operates exclusively with public universities in Germany and France. Private universities are not supported.

Studyssey is an application facilitation service. We do not guarantee admission to any university. Admission decisions are made solely by the universities.

To use the Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Hold a Pakistani passport and citizenship
• Have completed or be in the final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration and document submission

Studyssey reserves the right to decline or suspend service to any applicant who does not meet eligibility criteria or provides false information.

You must register using a valid email address. One account per student is permitted.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@studyssey.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to share your account, create accounts for others, or use automated means to access the Platform.

Studyssey charges a platform fee structured as a split payment:

All fees are in Euros (EUR). Payments are processed securely through Paddle, our authorised payment provider.

Upfront payment is due before your application is submitted. Without this payment, the application cannot be approved or submitted.

Final payment (60%) is due upon Admission. We will send you a payment link. The full service is considered complete upon receipt of any admission offer from your confirmed shortlist universities, regardless of whether you accept the offer.

Plan selection is final once the shortlist is confirmed. Plan upgrades are not available after confirmation.

If no university in your confirmed shortlist issues an admission offer, you are entitled to a partial refund.

Refund amount: 70% of the upfront payment you made.

The retained 30% covers document verification, AI-based motivation document generation, portal submission, and administrative costs incurred regardless of admission outcome.

Refunds are not available in the following cases:

• The student cancels the application after submission
• The student provides fraudulent, incomplete, or misleading documents
• The student's application is rejected due to missing deadlines caused by late document submission by the student
• An admission offer was received but declined by the student
• The student fails to complete the application approval step within the required timeframe

Refunds are processed within 14 business days of the refund request being approved by Studyssey. Please refer to our full Refund Policy for the complete process.

By using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at all times
• Upload only genuine, unaltered documents
• Respond to document requests and approval prompts in a timely manner
• Not misrepresent your academic qualifications, language scores, or personal information
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Platform
• Not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

Submission of fraudulent documents is a serious offence that may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all fees, and referral to relevant authorities.

All content on the Platform, including software, design, text, graphics, and AI-generated motivation documents, is the property of Studyssey or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Motivation documents generated for your application are provided for your personal use in the context of your university applications only. You may not resell, distribute, or publish them without our written consent.

You retain ownership of the documents you upload. By uploading, you grant Studyssey a limited licence to process those documents solely for the purpose of providing the Application Service.

We take your privacy seriously. Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

By using the Platform, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, including transfer to our service providers (Supabase, OpenAI, Paddle, and WhatsApp Business API).

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. STUDYSSEY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Studyssey does not guarantee admission to any university. University admission decisions are made solely by the respective institutions and are outside Studyssey's control.

AI-generated motivation documents are tools to assist your application. Studyssey does not guarantee that any motivation document will be accepted or result in admission.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STUDYSSEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR THE APPLICATION SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL STUDYSSEY'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STUDYSSEY IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability; in such cases, the above limitation shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Studyssey may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, provide fraudulent documents, or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Platform or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. Pending refunds will be processed in accordance with Section 6 where applicable.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at legal@studyssey.com. Closure does not entitle you to a refund if an application is already in progress.

If you have a dispute with Studyssey, please contact us first at legal@studyssey.com. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the relevant arbitration body in Pakistan.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Studyssey reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
